Public Means

Automation is getting better and cheaper. Soon, robots will do much of the physical work in the world. While this can make necessities like food and housing abundant, it will also eliminate most jobs as they exist today.

This creates a new economic reality. When selling labor is no longer the primary way to earn a living, the question of who owns the tools that produce value becomes essential.

This future presents a critical choice: Will these powerful tools be controlled by a few, concentrating their benefits? Or will they be open to all?

We believe the automated tools of production should be public. We design open source modular systems like robotic arms, manipulators, mobile chassis, conveyors and more. By making our designs public, we aim to spread the benefits of automation equitably.
